HERO Project
In 2020, Fairhaven began a unique ministry called the H.E.R.O. Project (Helping Emergency Responders Overcome).
We recognize that Emergency Responders are constantly challenged with critical incidents, life and death situations, and/or personal tragedies; and are often left without tools to help them process, heal, and recover.
Through the H.E.R.O. Project, Police, Fire, EMS Personnel, and medical professionals can come to Fairhaven, with their families, for a time of respite and counsel. There are currently three scheduled retreat weekends in 2023. The retreat theme is "Tools for Trauma". Along with our general sessions, some times are set aside for individual or couples counseling. These sessions are confidential, and are led by professional, Biblically-sound counselors, with crisis and trauma experience.
